My eyes fluttered open in complete darkness. My body was being pressed into the floor by something heavy and I could here someone's rushed breathing. I moved to sit up, only to be pushed back into the ground, "No, don't move. Are you crazy?!"

"Tavros? What-" A door opened, allowing the glow of a fire to pour into the room. Wheelchairs, stretchers, needles, plants, books, bottles, and papers were scattered around the room. "Are we in a clinic?"

"Shhhhhhh!" That must have came from Rufioh, who was also hiding. I was about to call out to him when a large barkbeast started growling. Its claws clicked on the tiled floor as in came into view. Barkbeast was a correct term for this thing, because this was no canine. Black blood dripped from its broken nose and chunks of flesh seem to be missing. It had no lips to cover it's large white teeth, his face was broken into an everlasting grin. One of its legs were broken and patches of fur were gone and also someone had set it on fire.

Growling while it limped past us it, he paid us no mind. Darkness quickly swept back in, blinding me once more. I laid my head onto ground and waited for a poor human eyes to adjust. Rufioh walked over and helped Tavros into a new and better looking wheel chair. "I'm happy to see that your awake now. You have been out for hours."

"Yeah, I think I was just tired."

"I think you were afraid," Tavros laughed.

"I was not scared!" The lie shot out like a bullet; Tavros ignored it though. He then wheeled over to me and handed me a black book bag filled with supplies. Rufioh passed me a flash light and grinned, "It's not night vision goggles but right now it will have to suffice."

I turned on the light and looked around. "How did we get here? I didn't think there would be buildings..."

"We didn't either," Rufioh answered, "but here it is. It was just a door sitting right in the wall, I looked like it was painted on. I almost could believe it, I though we were home free, but this is just a hospital. Tavros needs a new wheelchair anyways, the other one's wheel is busted." He glanced at Tav with his last sentence and I sent Tavros a questioning look.

The young Nitram sighed and flushed a soft copper tone, "W-we could hear the barkbeast outside and, um, you were still asleep on the mattress we found for you. I tried to calm it down... but the barkbeast only became irritated with me.  So, I-I kind of, uhh, slid out of my chair to c-cover your body in case he was going to attack..."

Rufioh laughed at Tavros, "In other words, little Tavros here, sent that wheel chair flying, and it broke." I couldn't help but giggle, Tavros could be so courageous at times.

After searching for bandages and such, we began to walk deeper into the clinic. The corridors seemed long and never ending. Every door was closed and no lights were working. Some of the floor tiles were stained in dry blood of a variety of colors.  A long trail of black blood was fresh from the vains of the barkbeast. It still glistened when the light from my flash light hit it.
I think this one is really short compared to the others, I really don't know where I am going with this... (I also grammatically fixed the title!)

I am sorry for taking forever to write so little. Forgive?
